Hi folks! I’m back with another long-awaited post. Here’s the update:
I still have only 6 teeth, but there are others close to coming out. Sometimes, my mouth just hurts and I have to cry a lot and have mommy and daddy hug me a lot. Back at the end of January, my daycare closed, so mommy and daddy found me a new place to go. It’s right near our house. I started there on Feb 2nd. That night, when mommy and daddy picked me up, I had a fever of 102.6. Daddy and I stayed home the next day, during which I did a lot of sleeping. That day, my fever broke, and I started to feel better. I went back to daycare Wednesday and Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, I wasn’t feeling great. Daddy went to his friend’s house to play cards and I stayed home with mommy. I threw up all over her. Then I threw up in my crib. It was miserable. Thanks to mommy for making me feel better. I went back to daycare on Monday and Tuesday, but Tuesday, I had some runny poos that exploded out of my diaper twice. Mommy and daddy were both sick, too, so we all stayed home today. Mommy and I did some napping. It was beautiful outside, so we went outside and I helped daddy clear up some snow and ice in the yard. Let’s see, what else… the people at daycare are impressed with the lunches that mommy’s been packing for me. They want her to do a presentation on nutritious lunches for the rest of the parents. I got a new pair of sneakers last weekend, they’re cool. And, possibly the coolest thing, I got a dividend check for my stock. You see, Uncle Steve bought me a share of Disney stock for my birthday. The other day, a check showed up at the house for me. Woo hoo! I’m goin’ to Vegas! Maybe not yet. As a shareholder, I’m also invited to attend the Disney annual meeting. Haven’t decided yet if I’m going to go. They want me to vote to give the execs the opportuinity to give themselves raises and stuff without any supervision! Yeah, right!
That’s about it, for now. Here are a few pics…

February 8th: I was watching Wall-e with mommy and daddy. That’s a funny movie.

Same day, playing with one of my wooden spoons.

Feb 11: The other day, I figured out how to open the drawers in the entertainment center. I like to just take everything out of the drawers and put it on the floor, or take things out and carry them around the house, so that DVDs end up in the kitchen and stuff.
That’s it for me.
Power to the toddlers!

Well, it’s been four months since I’ve posted anything, primarily because Daddy’s been a slacker. A lot has happened: my first Hallowe’en, my first Thanksgiving, my first birthday, Christmas number 2, I’m walking, I’m running, I’m talking a bit, and I’ve now got six teeth. All of these things and more over just the past four months. Many of them, daddy has captured on film, but he’s too lazy to edit them all and post them. So, I’ll try to put some online, but they’ll probably be out of order so that I can get some current ones up for you all to see.
Thanks to those of you who have requested that I post more. It’s nice to know that my public hasn’t moved on to newer babies. So, without further adieu…
January 6, 2009: Here I am running around in my sweet Puma tracksuit, whcih was a gift from Uncle Todd. He’s the bomb.

January 11, 2009: I love my talking Elmo!

January 17: Here I am in my dinosaur play tent, or, “the apartment” as mommy and daddy like to call it. This thing is huge. I can stand up inside it. It’s shaped like a big dinosaur, and takes up a big chunk of the living room. Daddy likes to nap in my apartment.

January 19: I think I might like to be a butler when I grow up. This broom is fun to carry around the house. Maybe I like it because mommy and daddy have to sweep up after me all the time.
That’s all I’ve got for now.
Peace out!

Here are some photos that daddy just finished editing. They are from June 19, and were taken at daddy’s office. That’s his ugly rug in the background.

Sometimes, daddy’s office is confusing.

Sometimes, it makes me hungry.

And sometimes, it just makes me sleepy.
Peace y’all.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve let you know what’s going on, and Mommy says I should post something.
When I last wrote, I had recently returned from vacation with Mommy and Daddy. By now you know that I’m srawling around a lot. I keep getting better at that. Soon after I started, I started pulling myself up into a standing position using furniture, people, my hichair, pretty much anything taller than me as a support. Now I’m cruising around on those supports – I cruise along the couch, to the end tables, to the loveseat, etc. Sometimes I let go of all of my support and I can stand for a few seconds before I lose my balance either fall down or catch myself on a nearby piece of furniture. Nana and Boppa bought me a toy that is like a walker and a car in one. Sometimes I stand behind that and walk across the living room. The only problem with that is steering. I tend not to steer, so I jsut go until the car hits something, then I’m done. It’s fun, though.
On Labor Day I came up with another holiday suprise for mommy and daddy – I stared climbing stairs on my own. My longest stair climb to date is up the three stairs from the kitchen to the landing. I can’t get up the stairs from the landing to upstairs yet. Daddy and Uncle Steve (who visited with Uncle Todd last weekend) have both caught me on falls don the stairs. They are tricky. I like to climb the stairs when daddy has me playing in the kitchen while he does stuff in that room. I keep him busy by returning over and over to the stairs.
I had a checkup last month with the doctor. She said I’m doing really well. I’m apparently the right height and weight. The doctor said that I can eat pretty much anything except eggs and milk (and of course nuts because of my allergies). Mommy and daddy have now given me chicken, pasta, veggies, and other things that they are eating. They put stuff in the food processor to make it easier for me to eat.
Finally, one night last week, daddy was feeding me dinner and he discovered that I have a tooth. I’ve got a little tooth that has broken through on the bottom in the front. It’s not aboe my gum yet, but it’s definitely visible. Apparently, it now hurts mommy and daddy more when I clamp down on their fingers since I have this tooth.
That’s about it for now. Daddy’s working on some pictures, but he’s been busy lately with other stuff, so he’s behind.
Power to the babies!

A week of Firsts

Activities
Bonjour! I’m going to skip ahead from the photo barrage for a minute here to give you an update on last week.
Last Tuesday, mommy and daddy and I went for a long drive. Daddy’s car was full of stuff, and I got to ride in a new, big-boy carseat (still facing backward) that was a gift from great Uncle Dave and Great Aunt Denise. I fell asleep and woke up in a strange place. daddy said we were in the mountains, in New Hampshire. There were lots of trees all around. Then, we went to a place called Vermont. We stopped for lunch at a nice rest area and I played in the grass. We kept driving until we stopped at a building that stretched across the road. A man who talked funny asked us where we were going and how long we were going to be there, and daddy had to show the man some paper so the man would believe I was me. Then we kept on driving. Finally, daddy said we were in Montreal, in Canada – a whole other country. This was my first time in Montreal, and my first time in a foreign country – even if it is just America’s hat.
We stayed for four days. We stayed in a hotel. I had a new crib that wasn’t mine. The hotel had a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen, like at home. During the time there, mommy and daddy pushed me all around the city in my streamlined stroller. One part of the city had a lot of people who looked different. The stores there were filled with cartoon characters and weird foods. Another part of the city had really narrow sidewalks and bumpy, stone roads, and big stone buildings that daddy said were old. There were a lot of people in that part of the city. We went there a few times. We ate breakfast and dinner outside in that part of town, too. We also went to a big park with lots and lots of plants that I have never seen before. It was like the front garden at home, only waaaay bigger. We walked around there for hours and I played in the grass there, too. Mommy and daddy had to pay to get in, but it was free for me. They must like little boys. They had a whole building about bugs there, too. Mommy said it made her feel squirmy. Then we went to a building that had different kinds of outsides in it. There was woods like at home, and a cold place with funny birds, and a biiig fish tank, and some other places that I didn’t recognize. They all had plants and animals that live in that kind of place. There were a lot of kids there. That day I went on my first ride on a subway. They get a lot of people in those things. I tried something called guacamole, too, for the first time. It was strange. I’m not sure if I like it.
The people in that city talked funny. Sometimes, daddy would talk funny to them.
Then, one day, we left the city and drove and went back through the building that stretched across the road. Again, they made daddy prove I was me. I guess they are keeping tabs on me.
We drove back into that place called Vermont. We stopped in a town where daddy used to live. We went to a place that makes special french fries. Daddy said we had to go there. Mommy let me try a little peice of one of her fries. I liked it. Daddy seemed to really enjoy them, too. He wouldn’t give me one of his fries.
We drove some more then stopped to go on a tour of a place where they make ice cream, and we went to a store that sells things made out of apples, and one that has free cheese for mommy and daddy (I don’t eat cheese, but it looks good). We got another hotel room , and I had another crib. We went swimming there, too. That was fun. I like the water. The next day, we drove back home. I slept in the car again, but we were in there for a long time. I got fussy and mommy and daddy stopped to let me play on the grass somewhere for a while, then we finished the ride.
It was nice to spend a bunch of whole days with mommy and daddy. We had fun, and I played in the grass, and got to go for a lot of walks.
Daddy took some pictures and he’s going to try to get some up here soon. We’ll see.
Au revoir, mes amis!

Here’s the last set from May.
May 26th: Let’s go out, my public awaits!

May 27th:

I think I was a little concerned about something when this one was taken.

Now I’m ready to go.
CPE out.

Here are some more. Daddy’s making a valiant effort to get caught up. At least, he wants me to say that.

That’s me on May 24th, in my swing.
Here area a bunch from May 25th. Nanna and Boppa were here to visit.

I was laying around on the floor. This is easy for me, and it amuses them.

They’re even more amused when I roll over. Rolling is how I get around these days. I’m not crawling, but I can barrel roll across short distances pretty quick.

Here I am working on my bouncee thing. My diagnosis? “It’s the Pfetzer valve.”

I might be pooing in this photo.

Charlee and me laying on my blanket. As you may now know, it turns out that I am allergic to Charlee, and mommy and daddy had to get rid of her. I think Charlee may have known – she never got that close to me. This picture is a rarity. This picture makes mommy and daddy sad.
There are more. See you soon.
Peace out Pampers people.

May 17th.
So I’ve got this bouncee thing. I sit in a sling, and I’m surrounded by all of these things that move, make noise, spin, and otherwise are supposed to keep me interested for hours. I have to be barefoot so that I can get enough traction to spin my seat around to get to the other toys.

Wowee! By the way, I love this pirate shirt.

Once I catch a toy I like, I generally try to eat it. This has become a theme of mine of late - I put pretty much everything I can get my hands on in my mouth. This includes toys, remote controls, any cloth, paper, my fingers and fists, mommy and daddy’s ears and noses, etc.
Here are a couple of photos from May 22nd.

Sleeping in mommy and daddy’s bed.

And awake in the same place.
That’s it for now.

Here’s another bunch that Mommy took, and which daddy found on the backup camera. Mommy was into extreme closeups this day, I guess.

I’m cool!

Oops!

Cheese Grommit! Cheese!

I can eat the camera while you take my picture. Beat that!

Our lips are so close…

I’m an excellent drooler.

What was that?!
Here’s a shout out to the diaper wearers – you know who you are!

Daddy found a few more in the other camera. Mommy took these sometime soon after April 20th.
Here are daddy and me getting ready to take a nap…

Well, daddy fell asleep…

Wait, I have something to say!

Forget it, I’m just going to eat this blanket.

Peace out, babies!
