11:13am:  I’m almost 12 hours old.  Right now, I’m hanging out with mommy.  She’s beat.  Daddy is, too, but he and I had a nap a little while ago.  Daddy is enthralled with the steelwork that is going on outside the window of our room.  There’s a yellow crane lifting pieces around the construction site for the new hospital wing. Daddy can only see the top 2/3 of the boom. Anyway, back to me.  After I arrived, we all hung out in the labor and delivery room for a while.  Then a nurse took me to the nursery for a few hours to get my vital signs taken, get me a bath, and a for me to take a nap, and mommy and daddy switched rooms.  Around four in the morning, mommy and daddy woke up and mommy called the nursery to have them bring me down to her.  I’ve been with her and daddy ever since.  Most of that time I’ve been awake, trying to get the hang of this eating thing, having what daddy calls “liquid asphalt” poos, and napping on someone’s chest.

That’s what I do.

Mommy and daddy wanted me to say thank you to everyone who has been emailing and commenting their happy thoughts.

Must… nap…

Hi everyone.  Welcome to my world.

I came out at 11:26pm on Thursday, November 29, 2007.  That’s my birthday!
I weigh 6 pounds and 10 ounces, and they tell me that I’m long and skinny.

Photos of me to come, when daddy figures out how to interface (that’s my favourite big word) the ancient laptop and the new camera.

Daddy want me to say, “Go Pats!”  Whatever that means.

7:40pm > I’m at the hospital, but I’m still inside mommy.  We’ve been here since about 10 o’clock this morning.  Mommy was ready to come to the hospital around 8:30, but daddy was farting around the house.  I’m not planning on coming out any time soon.  Probably sometime tomorrow morning.  They’ve given mommy something to make me come out faster, but the door’s not open yet, it’s only slightly ajar.  They’ve also given her something to kill the pain.  She’s a big fan of that.  Daddy has finished the newspaper crossword puzzle, and has read some of his book.  Right now, he’s tired and needs a nap.

Daddy says he’s going to keep you all up to date periodically, but he’ll probably forget once I start to make my way out.

Oh, and Charlee’s spending a few days with Jackson and Terri and Jay.
